Topic

This week in Topic we were learning about different types of skeletons including endo, exo and hydro skeletons. First we had a go at organising skeletons into vertebrates and invertebrates. Well done Year 3!

Forest School Week 1

Well, it was a very muddy session indeed on Tuesday but as you will see from the images below the children absolutely loved it and weren't phased by the mud at all!

Topic WOW! SPRING 1
As you may know, our topic for this term is 'How does the human body work?' For our topic WOW we set up a carousel of activities for the children to get stuck into. We had a giant jigsaw race, when, once completed, the children could read exciting body facts, we had a 'Who's bone?' activity where the children looked at real life bones and had to decide which animal they came from. We also had a 'Name that bone,' station where children had to use what they already knew to name Bob the skeletons bones and 'Name that organ,' where again, children had to use what they already know to name each organ. On top of that, the children did some amazing fact finding! Well done Year 3!

Topic WOW!

We've gone back in time in year 3 as we embark on our Stone Age journey to discover 'What prehistory has got to do with life in Britain today!' We became cave artists adn discussed that this is how historians have learnt a lot about our history before events were written.
