A Message from the PTFA...
We want to say a big thank you to our Waingroves Primary School community for your support during the academic year 23/24.
As another year draws to a close, we thought this a good time to share with you the sorts of events we have hosted during the year and what sort of things we have been able to fund for school. This is all thanks to your support. Thank you so much and here is to another successful academic year 24/25.
We do need more volunteers to continue to offer these events to the children and families of our school. The more support we have the more we can do.
The Waingroves P.T.F.A in school is for every parent and everyone is automatically a member.
Parents, governors, staff, and members of the local community work together to raise funds for much needed equipment (we also have a lot of fun doing it!).
We are always keen for more parents to become involved – please do consider giving up spare time for your school. It usually involves only half termly meetings which are usually less than one hour after school and helping out at various functions.

Waingroves Primary School PTFA Tote
The WPS Tote is a rewarding an effective way of fundraising. Parents are offered the opportunity of ‘buying’ numbers at a cost of 10p per number, per week. These numbers then go into a weekly prize draw and winners are drawn at random, on a Wednesday, each school week. Prizes are either £5, £4 or £3.
All money collected (minus the weekly winnings!) goes towards buying something extra that the children would like or need.
You do not need to send any money in straight away. Initially we just need to know if you would like to join and how many numbers you would like. Mrs Davies, who runs the tote, will send a note when the money is due, and payment can either be made by cash or cheque. Payments can be made half termly or you can pay for the full year in one go.
There are 39 Wednesdays in the current academic year (2022-23) so one number will cost £3.90 for the whole year, two numbers will cost £7.80, 3 number £11.70, and so on.
